The acquisition will significantly strengthen Andritz’s recovery and power boiler service business. The closing of the transaction is expected within 30 to 60 days.

The plant produces a renewable alternative to fossil coal using sustainably sourced biomass, specifically pre-commercial thinnings of certified forests in Finland.
The FFD pulper, with a feed capacity of up to 2,000 admt/d, is now the largest Andritz FFD in operation in Europe.
Andritz emerged as a successful bidder and will supply a PrimeLineTM S 2000 tissue machine to produce high-quality tissue grades from the mill’s own hardwood pulp at a maximum capacity of 34,000 t/a.
Start-up is planned for the Q1 2026. The new system will process mainly eucalyptus and poplar, as well as mixed wood, at a capacity of 35 t/h.
Start-up of the new equipment is scheduled for the second half of 2027.
The PrimePress X shoe press, designed for 1,250 N/mm, is integrated into the PM26 containerboard machine, which operates at a speed of up to 1,000 m/min and produces high-quality testliner with a basis weight ranging from 70 to 160 gsm.
With a production capacity exceeding 10,000 tons annually, it is capable of processing both viscose and polyester fibers.
Start-up is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
The contracts include the replacement of an economizer in the recovery boiler and the implementation of the SYNERGY Services concept for the white liquor plant and pulp drying processes.
