Valmet is to deliver a winder rebuild to VPK Paper Normandie in Alizay, France. The rebuild will increase the operational reliability and capacity and improve the safety of the winder.
The order was included in Valmet's orders received of the second quarter 2024. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The delivery is scheduled for the Q4 2024.
The winder rebuild will include a mother reel and empty spool handling solution, a new slitting section with automatic trim positioning, edge trim cutting, and installation services.
VPK Paper Normandie is a part of VPK Group. VPK Paper Normandie in Alizay, France, produces about 450,000 tonnes of recycled paper for corrugated board each year. In addition to the paper mill, the site contains a water treatment plant and a wood pellet production unit.
