Valmet and Saica Paper UK Limited have signed a service agreement to secure the availability and performance of the paper machine line in Saica’s Partington mill in the United Kingdom. The agreement is for three years, with the option of being extended by a further two years.
The agreement is included in Valmet's orders received of the Q12025 and effective immediately. The value of the agreement will not be disclosed.
“The service agreement provides a systematic approach to maintenance planning, budgeting, and execution in direct correlation to process audits, including roll and preventive maintenance, thus improving the availability and performance of our machine line. Our cooperation with Valmet has been a success, and we are looking forward to continuing our shared journey,” says Darren Hoyle, Maintenance Manager at Saica Paper, Partington.
The comprehensive service agreement includes roll maintenance, key process and equipment audits, preventive maintenance services including spare parts for the machine line, and remote support services for the winder.
Saica Group is one of the leading companies in Europe in the manufacture of recycled paper for corrugated board, with an annual production capacity of about 4.4 million short tons.
