UFP Industries, Inc. announced that Landon Tarvin will take over as president of UFP Retail Solutions, effective December 29, 2024. He will replace Will Schwartz, who has been appointed CEO of UFP Industries on the same date.

UFP Retail Solutions, a division of UFP Industries, produces products such as ProWood pressure-treated lumber, Deckorators composite decking, UFP-Edge siding and trim, and Outdoor Essentials fence and garden products. Tarvin currently serves as vice president of Deckorators.

“We had several strong internal candidates for this position, making the decision a challenging one,” said Will Schwartz, incoming CEO of UFP Industries. “Landon’s strategic thinking and leadership in defining the brand vision for Deckorators made him the ideal candidate to lead UFP Retail Solutions. His proven ability to develop talent will greatly benefit the entire Retail segment.”

Tarvin began his career with UFP Industries in 2002 as an account manager and has since held various leadership roles, including sales manager and general manager of the company’s Harrisonville, Missouri plant. He advanced to vice president roles in both Outdoor Essentials and Deckorators before this latest appointment.

“I’m honored to take on this new role and look forward to building on the strong foundation set by my predecessors,” said Tarvin. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by Schwartz and current CEO Matt Missad.

Will Schwartz, who joined UFP Industries in 1998, has held multiple roles, including account manager, sales manager, and regional sales director. A former member of UFP’s CEO Club, which recognizes the company’s top salespeople, Schwartz also served as general manager of several UFP plants. In 2014, he became operations vice president, before being promoted to executive vice president of purchasing in 2020, and executive vice president of operations services in 2022. Schwartz has served as president of UFP Retail Solutions since January 2023.
