Sweden's Jan-May lumber exports to US rise 37%

Swedish lumber exports volume to the U.S. rose 37% in the first five months of 2022 year-on-year  400 thousand m3. The value of exports jumped 50% to $229 million. According to Lesprom Analytics, average price of lumber increased 9% to $574 per m3.

In January - May 2022, European Union’s exports of lumber to the U.S. expanded 8% year-on-year to 1.81 million m3. The value of exports increased 14% to $845 million. Average price of lumber expanded 6% to $467 per m3.
