Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation announced that Matthew Karmel has been named CEO, effective immediately. Karmel brings to Structurlam more than 20 years of experience in C-suite leadership roles in industrial and manufacturing companies, including multinational organizations with $1.6 billion in annual revenues and 2,300 employees.
Prior to joining Structurlam, Karmel served as the CEO of Crenlo Engineered Cabs. Previously, he led other companies in North America and Europe in a broad range of industries, including Klenk Holz AG, the largest saw-mills group in Germany, as the company’s CEO & Chairman.
Structurlam is the leading North American provider of mass timber solutions for construction and industrial markets in Canada and the U.S. Its structural laminated mass timber and industrial products include CrossLam CLT cross-laminated panels, and GlulamPLUS glue-laminated columns and beams.
