Euro 6.4 million of roundwood was purchased from Slovenian private owners in May 2023, which was almost 15% less than a month before (mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased roundwood), according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs decreased by about 14%. The values of other purchased categories were also lower (all by about 16%). 


 
Compared to May 2022, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased by about 6%. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs increased by about 4%, while the value of pulpwood was almost the same as a year ago. Higher were also the values of purchased wood fuel and other industrial roundwood.
