Roundwood purchased from Slovenian private owners in 2023 was worth Euro 61.1 million, which is about 9% less than in 2022. The quantity of purchased wood was almost the same, while the average prices were lower than in the previous year, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went down by 12% and of pulpwood by almost 6%. On the other hand, the values of fuel wood and other industrial roundwood went up (by almost 5% and by 38%, respectively).

Sawlogs and veneer logs represented by far the highest share (77.6%) in the total value of roundwood purchased in 2023. The share of pulpwood was 14.5%, of wood fuel 5.1% and of other industrial roundwood 2.8%.
