The Thai wood-based panel producer S.Kijchai Enterprise Public Company Ltd. recently placed an order for an MDF plant with German Siempelkamp. The company's third MDF plant, like the other two, is being built at its headquarters in Rayong province.

With the investment in the new Siempelkamp plant, S.Kijchai Enterprise is increasing its production capacity for MDF at its headquarters to 500,000 m³. The company with more than 30 years of industrial experience is one of the leading wood-based panel producers in Southeast Asia and focuses on manufacturing and distributing MDF products.

Siempelkamp will provide support in the future: the scope of supply for the new plant includes the forming and press line with a ContiRoll in the format 8' x 52.1 m. This is the innovative further development of the Generation 9i, which was first presented at LIGNA 2023. Siempelkamp's solution of a self-adjusting mat weight distribution in longitudinal and transverse direction (Adaptive Forming System) is used in the forming line.

The mat is detected on the forming line with the EcoScan NEO fly system – a product of Siempelkamp's partner EWS. This data represents the basis for optimizing the mat distribution via the upstream aggregates. An optimum setting is calculated via the control algorithms on the corresponding aggregate controls and continuously readjusted. The order volume ends with an acceleration roller conveyor downstream of the triple diagonal saw.
