Ingka Centres has signed an agreement to purchase Pasing Arcaden, one of Munich's most popular shopping centres, attracting 10 million visitors annually. The acquisition marks a significant return for Ingka Centres in Germany and is expected to close by Q4-2024, pending standard conditions.

Pasing Arcaden spans 53,000 m2 of leasable space, featuring a mix of retail, residential, and workspaces. Located in the bustling Pasing-Obermenzing district, the centre sits next to Bavaria’s third busiest railway station, making it accessible to 1.3 million residents. Major tenants include Müller, Media Markt, and H&M, among others.

This acquisition is Ingka Centres’ fifth urban meeting place, following similar transactions in cities like Paris and London. Ingka Centres aims to transform Pasing Arcaden into a vibrant community space, aligning with its sustainability goals, which include using 100% renewable energy by 2030.

Cindy Andersen, Managing Director of Ingka Centres, expressed excitement about the acquisition, highlighting Munich's energy and Pasing Arcaden’s potential as a key urban hub in Germany.
