In Andhra Pradesh, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. (CPIL) produced its first board at its largest MDF facility, which has a daily production capacity of 950 m3.

Siempelkamp supplied key equipment for the facility. This includes a fibre dryer, sifter system, forming line, and a ContiRoll® Generation 9 press, which can produce boards with thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 37 mm and densities between 650 and 1100 kg/m³. The plant also features a board cooling and stacking line and an automatic storage system. The new state-of-the-art fiber preparation system will have a design capacity of 37 tons per hour and process eucalyptus and poplar wood chips for producing high-quality MDF.
