Canada increased 15.0% lumber production to 4.07 million m3 in August from the month prior, the Statistics Canada reported on Friday. This was still 4.6% lower than a year ago.
Canadian sawmills shipped 3.91 million m3 of lumber in August, up 6.1% from July and down 12.5% from August 2022.
