Alexander Isola, member of the Andritz AG Supervisory Board since 2016, has announced his intention to step down after the upcoming Annual General Meeting on March 27, 2025. The Supervisory Board will propose the election of Barbara Steger with effect from the close of the Annual General Meeting in 2025 until the close of the Annual General Meeting that decides on the discharge for the business year 2028.
Barbara Steger, born in 1980, is an experienced lawyer and manager with expertise in the industrial sector. After completing her studies in law and commercial sciences, she began her career at the Viennese law firm Schönherr Rechtsanwälte. In 2013, she joined the Engel Group, a global supplier of injection molding machines, where she served as Managing Director of Ludwig Engel GmbH & Co KG from 2016 to 2023 and as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Boards of ENGEL Holding GmbH and ENGEL Austria GmbH from 2020 to 2022. She played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, including its sustainability strategy, and in optimizing its legal structure and governance. In addition, she was a member of the Supervisory Board and the Legal Committee of Oberbank AG from 2014 to 2022.
If the shareholders approve the proposed appointment, three of the six elected members of the Andritz AG Supervisory Board will be women.
Furthermore, the Supervisory Board will propose to the Annual General Meeting the re-election of Wolfgang Bernhard, who has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2020 and whose current term ends at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
