Cabinet manufacturers reported overall cabinet sales of were down 9.4% for December 2024 compared to the same month in 2023, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA).
The total sales reported by respondents for December amounted to $183.5 thousand. Custom sales accounted for $47.5 thousand, reflecting 15.6% year-on-year decrease.
Semi-custom sales saw a decrease of 5.4%, amounting to $103.6 thousand, and stock sales down 12.1%, reaching $32.4 thousand.
The year-to-date sales for survey participants also decreased by 3.4% to $2.74 million in December 2024. Custom sales contributed $712.7 thousand, or 5.7% decline, semi-custom sales reached $1.54 million, down 1.9%, and stock sales amounted to $483.8 thousand, or 4.4% drop.
The estimated sales for the overall market in December were reported at $875.0 thousand. For the year-to-date period, the overall market estimated sales were $12.65 million.
