In August, the total value of roundwood purchased from Slovenian private owners went up by almost a tenth at the monthly level, while at the annual level it was almost the same, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Euro 3.8 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in August 2024, which was about 9% more than a month before (mostly due to higher quantities of purchased roundwood). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went up by about 12% and of wood fuel by about 36%. On the other hand, the values of pulpwood and of other industrial roundwood went down compared to a month before (by about 10% and by 14%, respectively).
Compared to last August, almost the same value of roundwood was purchased from private owners. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went up by about 6%, while the values of pulpwood and wood fuel went down (by about 18% and by 35%, respectively). The value of other industrial roundwood was almost the same as a year ago.
