SPM has received a strategically important order from Swedish sawmill Södra Wood Långasjö for online systems and wireless vibration sensors for monitoring production-critical equipment.

As a first step, the sawmill in Långasjö in southeast Sweden is now acquiring SPM's Intellinova Parallel EN online system and Airius wireless sensors with vibration and temperature measurement for monitoring the planer, filter fan, scrap conveyor, and pellet bin. Measurement data is stored locally in the analysis and diagnostics software Condmaster Ruby 2022 and is also presented in the clear and easy-to-use web application.

Anton Dahlberg, process technician, and Safic Azmir, project leader, comment on the investment: "This system helps us smoothly meet the goal of proactive and condition-based maintenance. It will also prevent emergency breakdowns that previously caused serious situations in our process."

Södra Wood is part of the forestry Group Södra, one of Europe's leading suppliers of wood products. Södra Wood has eight modern and efficient sawmills in Sweden and Finland, producing over 2 million cubic meters of construction wood annually in an entirely fossil-free process. The Södra Wood Långasjö sawmill has an annual capacity of 360,000 cubic meters.
