Russia has increased wood product shipments to South Korea, with FESCO, a transport and logistics group under the management of Rosatom, adding the port of Gwangyang to its FESCO Korea Soviet Direct Line (KSDL) service. KSDL, in operation since 1991, primarily connects Vladivostok’s commercial port with Busan and transported 49 thousand TEU in 2024, with Russian wood products forming the bulk of the cargo, according to FESCO. In January 2025, Russia’s plywood exports to South Korea doubled.
