Ranpak Holdings Corp. announced the North American launch of the next generation of its AccuFill automation technology. The new AccuFill is a protective paper packaging solution designed for automated packing environments. Ranpak’s latest solution optimizes the amount of void fill material used in high volume packaging operations to increase the efficiency and productivity of packaging operations. Void fill is a paper filler material used to close up free space in the shipping box and lock products in place.
AccuFill is simple to use and set up. As boxes come down the line in a packaging operation, AccuFill sensors scan the box, determine box size and the volume of objects inside the box, and then compute the amount of paper needed to fill the void. The AccuFill tower and the FillPak SL converter communicate to dispense the correct amount of paper, with no guesswork required. AccuFill is equipped with a unique technology that has a memory of up to 30 different box sizes.
“Our next generation void fill solution is truly differentiated in that it combines sustainable, paper-based protective packaging with an automated solution that significantly increases speed, efficiency and performance in our customers’ packaging operations,” said Omar Asali, Chairman and CEO of Ranpak.
Ranpak’s paper-based packaging is curbside recyclable, compostable and biodegradable.
