Ponsse has invested more than Euro 2 million in the construction of a new service centre in Tomsk, Russia. The grand opening of the new service centre took place on 11 November 2021.
The investment aimed to create a modern service centre with a current repair area and a logistics centre with a spare parts warehouse. This training centre offers skills on PONSSE harvesters and forwarders, and an in-depth knowledge of the structure and operation of technology. In total, the centre employs 26 people.
“Ponsse has been active in Tomsk for about 15 years, and our dealer company Zeppelin Russland played a vital role at the start. From the outset, Ponsse has been fortunate enough to work with very active and loyal customers and partners who have supported and appreciated the excellent progress of Ponsse’s operations in the region,” says Jaakko Laurila, Managing Director of LLC Ponsse.
Today, the Ponsse service network in Russia includes 44 service centres.
