Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) appoints new directors. President & CEO Johanna Buchert has appointed new directors for the period 1 January 2021–31 December 2025. Three directors were selected from outside the organization and two within Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).
- D.Sc. (Tech) Jani Lehto from VTT was appointed Vice President, Bioeconomy and environment.
- Ph.D. Sirpa Thessler from Luke was appointed Vice President, Natural resources.
- Ph.D. Sanna Sorvari Sundet from Finnish Meteorological Institute was appointed Vice President, Research infrastructure services.
- M.Soc.Sc. Mari Ylä-Jarkko from Statistics Finland was appointed Director of Statistics.
- Ph.D. Ilkka P. Laurila from Luke was appointed SVP Administrative Affairs and stakeholder relations.
The new appointed directors will report directly to the President and be part of Luke’s management team.
