MiCROTEC’s Logeye 301 DC will be delivered to Luopajärvi in August 2023, and MiCROTEC Espoo is fully responsible for the delivery. This means that commissioning, maintenance and spare parts deliveries are done from Finland.
“The new log scanner is an investment far into the future. We made a comparison between different options and companies, and MiCROTEC was able to offer us the most suitable solution. Since the X-ray investment is not current, a 3D log scanner equipped with bark cameras is definitely the best solution for us at this stage. The decision was also supported by the fact that the cameras can automatically perform bark correction and snow/ice reduction. In the future, MiCROTEC also offers a wide selection of other measuring devices suitable for our production,” says Juha Anttila, forest manager of Luopajärvi Sawmill.
