Klabin starts up paper machine 28 (PM28) of Puma II Project in Ortigueira, Paraná, Brazil. Equipped with advanced technology, the machine was designed to produce more resistant and higher quality paperboards, especially for the food and beverage segments.

The new 300-meter-long machine can produce 460,000 tons per year, with flexibility for white top liner and kraftliner production. Machine 28 will also enable Klabin to develop white paperboard, underlining its integrated and diversified business model and consolidating its position as one of the world’s largest paperboard producers. 

Klabin is Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions in paper packaging.
