HS Timber Group is expanding its portfolio by building a modern sawmill in Svisloch, the Grodno region, Belarus. The investment amounts to Euro 84 million. After a three-year lead time, the building permit has been issued and the groundbreaking ceremony takes place on 18 December, 2020.

Completion is expected in spring 2022. In the current expansion stage, the sawmill, processing pine and spruce logs, has an annual sawing capacity of 500,000 m3 of coniferous roundwood. This will correspond to a 10% increase in production. The focus is on further processing and connected pelleting.

The projected sawmill in Belarus complements the group’s existing production sites in Germany and Romania. It offers excellent connection to the Polish port of Gdansk.

HS Timber Group is one of the leading wood processing companies in Europe.
