Frederik Meyer, Executive Vice President of Homag Group's CNC Processing business unit, has been named the new president of Eumabois, the European Federation of woodworking machinery manufacturers. Meyer succeeds Luigi De Vito as of January 16, 2025, following his tenure as vice president since September 2022, according to Eumabois Press Office.
As an experienced professional with a degree in Wood Technology Engineering from Rosenheim University, Meyer began his career as a carpenter in Eastern Westfalia, Germany, 27 years ago. Over the past 18 years, he has held various leadership roles at Homag Group.
Enrico Aureli, president of Acimall (Italy) and vice president of SCM Group, has been appointed as the new vice president of Eumabois.
Expressing his gratitude to Luigi De Vito for his service, Meyer stated, “The European industry must carefully look at the global scenario, supporting and spreading the contents of innovation, safety, and performance of technologies that, all around the world, are an essential point of reference.”
Eumabois represents over 800 companies from 11 national associations, employing 35,000 people with annual revenues of Euro 7 billion.
