Derome, Sweden's largest family-owned wood industry, is strengthening its focus on industrial volume of wooden-house production by forming a new company, Derome BoPartner AB. The company is expected to contribute to approximately 5,000 new homes over the next five years and aims to take more space in the housing market in metropolitan regions.
The housing industry has had a tough 2024 with reduced new production and uncertainty in the market. At the same time, Derome sees an opportunity to strengthen its housing offering by forming a new company. Derome BoPartner AB will focus on industrial volume house production in wood and includes, among other things, the house factory in Värö and Derome's successful joint venture project, which is expected to account for the majority of the house factory's production capacity going forward.
“With Derome BoPartner, we are bringing together our industrial volume house production in wood in a dedicated company, which strengthens our long-term offering and provides even better conditions for growth in a challenging housing market,” says Otto Martler, who will become CEO of Derome BoPartner AB.
New structure and leadership within Derome Husproduktion AB
In connection with the formation of Derome BoPartner AB, the operations of Derome Husproduktion AB are being streamlined to prefabricated element construction, which includes one of Sweden's largest house manufacturers, A-hus, as well as B2B sales of housing, public buildings and commercial properties. At the same time, Henrik Svahn takes office as the new CEO of the company.
“This streamlining gives us a clearer focus and strengthens our business and our ability to develop efficient and sustainable prefabricated element solutions for the construction of the future,” says Henrik Svahn.
