Antalis has signed a binding agreement to acquire Plaesa in Spain, a specialist of technical packaging and conversion of made-to-measure packaging solutions

This acquisition marks another important step in Antalis’ expansion in the Iberian packaging market. Founded in 1983, Plaesa is a family-owned business specialising in the design, conversion and production of customised technical packaging solutions.

With an annual turnover of Euro 6 million, Plaesa is a strong player in the provinces of Madrid and Toledo, employing 38 people and operating from four facilities.

Plaesa has made significant investments dedicated to acquiring new equipment (special plotters for cutting canvas, PVC and sealing, cardboard cutting machines, printing machines and foam converters), which have been installed in its latest manufacturing plant.

The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions.

Antalis is part of KPP Group Holdings Co., Ltd, a worldwide leader in papers, packaging and visual communication distribution headquartered in Japan.
