84 Lumber announces the opening of its latest facility in Cartersville, Georgia as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.

The new truss plant, scheduled to open by late December, is located on an 18-acre plot at 91 Riverside Drive, Cartersville, Georgia. It will service and support the busy, dynamic Atlanta market. This truss plant will also work in tandem with the existing plant in Oxford, Georgia, bringing component manufacturing capabilities to more customers.

The company has been servicing the Atlanta market since the early 1970s and greatly expanded its footprint during the 2000s housing boom. 84 Lumber later opened an additional lumberyard, as well as a dedicated window shop to keep up with market demand.

In addition to this new truss plant, 84 Lumber recently opened a new door shop in Denver, Colorado, and expanding in the state of California. 84 Lumber is also opening component plants in Winter Haven, Florida; Columbia, South Carolina; and Boise, Idaho.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, 84 Lumber Co. is the nation’s largest privately held supplier of building materials, manufactured components and industry-leading services for single and multifamily residences and commercial buildings.
