In March 2022, Euro 8.8 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in Slovenia, which is about 46% more than in the previous month (mainly due to the higher quantity of purchased wood). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by almost 46%, of pulpwood by about 48%, of wood fuel by about 54% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 28%, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Compared to March 2021, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners was about 8% higher. The values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs and of other industrial roundwood were higher by about 23% and 50%, respectively, while the values of pulpwood and wood fuel were lower by about 44% and 17%, respectively.
