Euro 3.5 million of roundwood was purchased from Slovenian private owners in July 2023, which was about 26% less than a month before (due to a decrease in both quantities and average prices of purchased roundwood), according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went down by about 26%. The values of other purchased categories were also lower.
Compared to last July, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners decreased by almost 29% (mainly due to lower average price of purchased wood). The value of purchased wood fuel increased by almost 21%, while the values of other purchased categories went down: of sawlogs and veneer logs by almost 32%, of pulpwood by about 24% and of other industrial roundwood by about 19%.
