Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in January 2022 was worth Euro 5.1 million, which is about 71% more than a month ago. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by almost 85%, of wood fuel by about 76% and of pulpwood by about 17%. The value of other industrial roundwood was also higher, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia reported.
The value of roundwood purchased from private owners was 98% higher than a year ago (the main reason for the lower purchase of wood in January 2021 was unfavourable weather conditions). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 122%, of pulpwood by about 32%, of wood fuel by about 61% and of other industrial roundwood by about 68%.
