Masonite International Corporation’s net sales decreased 1% to $552 million in the 3Q 2019, from $557 million in the comparable period of 2018. Adjusted EBITDA increased 7% to $76 million in the 3Q 2019 from $71 million in the 3Q 2018.

Masonite International’s 3Q net sales decreased by 1% to $552 million

Masonite International Corporation’s net sales decreased 1% to $552 million in the 3Q 2019, from $557 million in the comparable period of 2018, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Net income decreased $10 million to $15 million in the 3Q 2019 due to debt extinguishment costs, higher SG&A expenses, as discussed above, and costs related to previously announced restructuring activities.  

Total company gross profit increased 13% to $126 million in the 3Q 2019 compared to $111 million in the 3Q 2018. Gross profit margin increased 280 basis points to 22.7%.

Adjusted EBITDA increased 7% to $76 million in the 3Q 2019 from $71 million in the 3Q 2018.

Net sales of $1,645 million in the first nine months were approximately flat compared to $1,642 million in the comparable period of 2018.
