China is set to hold the first China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing from November 28 to December 2, aiming to provide an international platform for advancing orderly and efficient industrial synergy across countries.

The expo, themed "Connecting the world for a shared future," will feature five major supply chains: Smart vehicles, Green agriculture, Clean energy, Digital technology, and Healthy living. The event is expected to attract over 300 companies, with international exhibitors comprising 30% of the total. International buyers from 50 countries and regions are estimated to make up 40% of the anticipated audience. Lin Shunjie, chairman of the China International Exhibition Center Group, stated that the largest number of foreign companies participating in the event are from the U.S.

China's initiative arose against the backdrop of a trend to transfer production by Western companies to other countries. Western companies are intensifying their efforts to diversify manufacturing away from China, with the adoption of a "China plus many" strategy becoming increasingly prevalent. Giants like Apple, Crocs, and Universal Electronics are spearheading this trend, expanding their production bases in alternative countries such as Vietnam, India, and Mexico.
