Lumber production in Canada increased 1.9% in September, reaching a total of 4,145.4 thousand m3, according to data from Statistics Canada. However, this growth comes in the context of a 4.9% decline compared to the same period in 2022.
Canadian sawmills shipped a total of 3,908.9 thousand m3 of lumber in September. This reflects a marginal decrease of 0.03% from August and a more significant decline of 9.2% compared to the figures from September 2022.
