Canada's lumber production rose 5.2% from July to 5 523.4 thousand cubic metres of lumber in August. Production was down 0.5% compared with August 2017, as Statistics Canada said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Sawmills shipped 5 893.6 thousand cubic metres of lumber in August, up 6.3% from July and 5.4% higher than in August 2017.
