Lumber production in Canada decreased 5.5% from June 2023 to 3 537.2 thousand cubic metres in July 2023. Production was down 5.4% from July 2022, as Statistics Canada reports.
Sawmills shipped 3 684.1 thousand cubic meters of lumber in July, down 11.6% from June and down 14.2% from July 2022.
