Our team represents the interests of the Republic of South Ossetia within the framework of the program for the resumption of exports of beech wood to Russia. An important milestone of the program is the restoration of the woodworking complex for processing beech wood. The absence of logging operations for 15 years has led to the accumulation of overgrown forest in the amount of 4 million m3.
The permitted annual volume of timber harvesting is 30,000 m3.
The main harvested species are beech.
