Microtec to deliver three Finscan scanners to ULK Group’s Pinega sawmill in Russia Microtec (formerly FinScan) to deliver three Finscan sorting systems for dry sorting departments at ULK’s new Pinega sawmill to be constructed in the Arkhangelsk region, Russia. The Pinega sawmill is expected to begin operations in 2023 and manufacture sawn softwood and pellets. -

Jartek to supply sorting lines to ULK Group' sawmill in Russia Jartek Invest Oy has signed a contract ¬with the Russian company ULK Group LLC for the construction of lumber handling lines to a new Pinega Sawmill plant in the Arkhangelsk region, Russia. When finished, the plant will be the largest modern sawmill plant in the world and simultaneously the largest sawmill in Northern Europe. The capacity of the plant will be over two million cubic meters of logs per year with one million cubic meters of lumber and over half a million tons of pellets. -

Heinola Sawmill Machinery to supply 2-zone progressive kilns to ULK Velsk Sawmill in Russia ULK Velsk Sawmill in Arkangelsk region, Russia, has ordered two 2-zone progressive kilns type HFB from Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc. with annual capacity of ca. 120,000 cubic metres when drying spruce and pine timber to 18 % final moisture content.
