Versowood invests Euro 15 million in its Vierumäki sawmill in Finland

Versowood will increase the Vierumäki unit’s annual sawmill production from the current 475,000 m3 level to more than 600,000 m3. The company will replace one of their sawmill lines in Vierumäki, Finland, and build a new green sorting line during the spring of 2022. This investment will significantly improve the cost efficiency and productivity of the line and unit.

The sawmill line will be delivered by Veisto Oy from Mäntyharju and the green sorting line by Jartek Oy from Lahti.  The total value of the investments will reach about Euro 15 million. At the same time, the annual sawmill production of the company will increase to more than 1.5 million m3.

The company estimates that the current fiscal year, ending 6/2021, will reach a turnover of more than Euro 450 million and a total production quantity of approximately 1.4 million m3 sawn timber.
