Prominet Power Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Gas, acquires Fushiki Manyofuto Biomass Power GK and Ichihara Yawatafuto Biomass Power GK from an Equis Group investment fund. Acquisition is expected in middle of September, 2020.
Fushiki Manyofuto Biomass Power Plant, which expects to start commercial operations from October, 2021 with generation capacity of approximately 51MW is under construction. Ichihara Yawatafuto Biomass Power Plant, which is expected to be commissioned in January, 2024 has generation capacity of 75MW and construction will start from October, 2020.
Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation will be awarded as the owner’s engineering consultant and to be undertaking the operation and maintenance for Ichihara Yawatafuto Biomass Power Plant.
Tokyo Gas group will continue expanding its renewable power business, both domestically and overseas, to achieve renewable power transaction volume to 5GW by 2030, aiming for the net zero CO2 emissions.
