Anna Ryberg Ågren, currently CEO of building materials organisation Byggmaterialindustrierna, will become Director of Swedish Wood on 1 December. She succeeds Mathias Fridholm, who has been Director of Swedish Wood since 2019.
Anna has spent 25 years working on environmental and sustainability issues, primarily in the construction industry with a focus on sustainable materials and climate-smart building. Previous roles have included sustainability manager at Derome and many years of responsibility for Sustainable Building at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institutes.
Swedish Wood represents the Swedish sawmill industry and is part of the Swedish Forest Industries Federation. In addition, Swedish Wood represents the Swedish glulam and packaging industries.
