In comparison with 2023, the value of roundwood purchased from Slovenian private owners was lower by 23%. The decrease was mostly due to the lower quantity of purchased roundwood as well as lower purchase prices, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
The largest share in the purchase of roundwood was held by sawlogs and veneer logs. The total value of the latter fell by 18%, most significantly the values of purchased oak and beech.
The value of purchase in other groups was also lower. The most significant decrease was recorded in the value of purchased fuel wood, almost by a half. The value of purchased pulpwood was down by 43% and of other industrial roundwood by 27%.
