In June 2022, Euro 4.6 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in Slovenia which was about 23% less than the month before. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by almost 20%, of pulpwood by about 37%, of wood fuel by almost 28% and of other industrial roundwood by about 42%, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Compared to June 2021, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased by about 11%. The quantity of purchased wood was slightly lower, while the average prices, especially of sawlogs and veneer logs of coniferous trees, were much higher than a year ago.
The values of all individual categories of purchased roundwood were lower at the annual level, except the value of sawlogs and veneer logs, which was about 24% higher. The value of purchased pulpwood decreased by almost 36%, of wood fuel by almost 25% and of other industrial roundwood by about 16%.
