Euro 2.7 million of roundwood was purchased from Slovenian private owners in December 2023, which was about 38% less than a month before (due to lower quantities of purchased roundwood), according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went down by almost 36%, of pulpwood by about 26%, of other industrial roundwood by about 40% and of wood fuel by almost 75%.
Compared to December 2022, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners decreased by about 27% (due to a decrease in both quantities and average prices of purchased roundwood). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went down by almost 9%, of pulpwood by about 53%, of wood fuel by about 67% and of other industrial roundwood by about 42%.
