Euro 4.1 million of roundwood was purchased from private Slovenian owners in January 2023, which was about 12% more than a month before according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs increased by 43% and of other industrial roundwood by about 36%, while the values of purchased pulpwood and wood fuel decreased by about 41% and 34%, respectively.
Compared to January 2022, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners decreased by about 19%. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by almost 22%, of pulpwood by about 15% and of wood fuel by almost 23%, while the value of purchased other industrial roundwood was higher than a year ago.
