The Romanian Competition Council assesses the transaction by which Ziegler Holzindustrie GmbH & Co. KG intends to take over HS Timber Productions Sebeș SRL and the assets related to the operation of a biomass thermal power plant of HS Timber Productions Reci SRL.
The assets related to the operation of a biomass thermal power plant, to be purchased from HS Timber Productions Reci by Ziegler Holzindustrie, are located in the premises of HS Timber Productions Sebeș SRL.
According to the provisions of Competition Law no. 21/1996, this operation is an economic concentration that must be authorised by the Competition Council. The competition authority will assess this concentration in order to establish its compatibility with a normal competitive environment and issue a decision within the time limits laid down by law.
Ziegler Holzindustrie GmbH & Co. KG, from Germany, deals with cutting and planing wood. The company is part of the Ziegler Group, which operates in various industries: woodworking, logistics, construction of wooden houses, log trade, engineering, decorations, gastronomy/hotel area, media.
HS Timber Productions Sebes and HS Timber Productions Reci, part of HS Timber Group, are involved in the processing of wood products.
