The Supervisory Board of Metsä Group’s parent company, Metsäliitto Cooperative, elected Nina Pärssinen as a new member of the cooperative's Board of Directors.
Pärssinen has extensive work experience from various labor market organizations. She was the labor market director of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation in 2015-2019. She is currently working as the administrative director of the city of Alajärvi.
Metsä Group is a forerunner in sustainable bioeconomy utilising renewable wood from sustainably managed northern forests. Metsäliitto Cooperative is the parent company of Metsä Group and is owned by approximately 100,000 Finnish forest owners.
