Marko Pekkola, who has served as Deputy CEO and CTO of MM Kotkamills for the last year, has been appointed as the new CEO, effective January 1, 2025.
CEO Päivi Suutari, who has served as the company's CEO since autumn 2021, will move to the Senior Advisor position from the beginning of 2025 until the end of March 2025, then Päivi Suutari will leave the company.
Marko Pekkola has extensive international experience as a business leader. He joined MM Kotkamills from the position of CEO of Kesla Oyj. Previously, he was responsible for Neste Oyj's Oil Products business unit and held business management positions at Stora Enso and M-real.
