Klabin will conduct a maintenance shutdown at its Monte Alegre Unit in Telêmaco Borba, Paraná, Brazil, from June 28 to July 8. Regulatory Standards require maintenance and adjustments to be made to ensure the perfect functioning of equipment, as well as the safety and integrity of employees and the community as a whole.

In addition to maintenance, the shutdown enables the Unit to make improvements, such as technological upgrades, always with the purpose of improving productivity and operational safety by adopting market best practices.

To ensure that all the phases are performed quickly and efficiently, the shutdown involves prior planning and support from additional teams, with a significant portion of the workforce coming from surrounding cities, which represents income generation for the Campos Gerais region.

Klabin is Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions in paper packaging.
