Keitele Timber invests Euro 40 million at Keitele sawmill in Finland

Keitele Timber Oy is implementing an investment program of more than Euro40 million, with the help of which the annual lumber production capacity of the Keitele sawmill will increase to 600,000 cubic meters of finished lumber. Turnover will increase by Euro60 million as a result of the investment, while production at Keitele will increase by almost 50%. The investments include a new packaging plant, more drying capacity, process warehouses and equipment for handling bar loads, as well as 6 hectares of land and new storage halls for final products. The investments will be implemented in 2025-2026.

The most significant entity of the investment; the new packaging facility replaces the old facility that was commissioned in 1998. The Swedish machine shop Renholmen AB was selected as the main supplier for the project, whose solution enables the sorting and packaging of a large sawmill's production in a five-day, two-shift operation. Regarding the investment, building and spatial planning will be started next in the Keitele industrial area. The suppliers of the dryers and warehouses will be decided during the rest of the year.
