Jari Tikkanen has been appointed Senior Vice President of Metsä Fibre's Sawmill Business and Member of the Metsä Fibre´s Management Team as of 1 December 2021. In his new position, he will report to CEO Ismo Nousiainen.
Tikkanen has worked in Metsä Group for more than 20 years in various positions in both the chemical and mechanical forest industry. In his new role, he joins Metsä Fibre from the position of Metsä Wood's Senior Vice President, Production and Technology.
Jani Riissanen, who is currently working as the SVP of Metsä Fibre's Sawmill Business, will join Metsä Forest on 1 December 2021 as the SVP of Metsä Forest's Wood Trade and Forest Services and a member of Metsä Forest's Management Team.
